The 2011 Ideas Festival has moved beyond Brisbane and is spreading happiness to Rockhampton and Cloncurry! On Saturday 21 May, the Rockhampton and Cloncurry Regional Libraries will celebrate happiness.

The Rockhampton Regional Library is presenting the Reader’s Guide to Happiness where you can share your favourite book, join a passionate debate about what makes us tick as readers, a live webcast from the Ideas Festival at the State Library of Queensland of Modern trends: Can fashion drive social change? plus a workshop that will show you how to increase your personal happiness.

You can also get happy at the Cloncurry Library’s Grow Happy Day with face painting, storytelling, intergenerational reflections on happiness, webstreams of State Library Ideas Festival sessions, and a jumping castle!

We are also doing webcasts of other Ideas Festival sessions from the State Library so come along and enjoy the Ideas Festival, wherever you are!
