Though the Ideas Festival program is largely free, bookings are essential to secure your seat. Ticketing for all sessions is managed online. Once you have booked your seat a confirmation will be emailed to you. This confirmation will contain a unique barcode for each ticket you’ve ordered. You will need to print this barcode and bring it with you to enter each session.
If you are unable to access a computer or need assistance to book your ticket, just give us a call on 07 3840 7285 or email info@ideasfestival.com.au.
Venue
Unless otherwise indicated, the Ideas Festival program will be delivered at the State Library of Queensland, Cultural Centre, Stanley Place in South Bank. Please note that food and drinks are not permitted in venues at the State Library and a cloaking service is available for bags larger than handbag size.
Getting there
Parking is limited in the Cultural Centre precinct. We would encourage Ideas Festival attendees to consider public transport:
By bus: Cultural Centre Busway Station in Melbourne Street.
By train: South Brisbane Station, corner of Melbourne and Grey Streets.
By foot: The State Library is a short walk from Brisbane’s CBD via Victoria Bridge, Kurilpa Bridge or the William Jolly (Grey Street) Bridge.
CATCH UP Don’t worry if you can’t make it on the day of the Festival. Most of the sessions in the program will be recorded and made available as vodcasts through the Ideas Festival website.
