Plant seeds, grow ideas and harvest the fruits of your labour as you journey through the possibilities of greening Queensland in a DIY garden design workshop. Using permaculture principles these workshops are blooming with ideas, information and solutions on starting and maintaining a sustainable garden. Be inspired by the State Library’s very own Urban Garden and start planning yours for home, work, school or your local library. Each session runs for one and a half hours.
Workshop facilitators:
Nico & Ky Curran are dwdc designs. Nico is an architect, and Ky is a certified Permaculture designer and artist. Their aim is to positively affect the built environment and the people who inhabit it.
Nico
Is an architect. His work focuses on liveable architecture with minimal material input and maximum sculptural effect. Teaching design to the community is a proactive channel for building a more enlightened society.
Ky Curran
Is a Brisbane based artist, designer, permaculturalist & community cultural development worker. Studying under the founder of permacultre Bill Mollison helped to open channels of possibilities for effective social change. She believes that working creatively with children and community is an effective tool to make a better world.
