The scenario: at some point in the not too distant future rapid climate change has pushed humankind to the edge. A rapidly spreading super-virus is quickly killing large portions of the human population and virus survivors are experiencing zombiefication.

The solution: we’ve found six survivalists who are willing to pit their skills and knowledge against this growing zombie army in a survival compound located within the Cultural Precinct. Facing a grueling series of challenges over the festival weekend, the fate of these survivalists will be determined by the online community.

Fringe Ideas
Fringe Ideas are those that your mother doesn’t want to hear at the dinner table, those ideas that get stuck in your head at 3am on a hot and balmy night. They’re ideas that you don’t talk too loudly about at the pub for fear of being branded an iconoclast or a degenerate. From weather-induced zombie-apocalypse nightmare scenarios, to the shifting sexual norms of the technology generation, the Fringe Ideas program, held throughout the Festival, promises to be a small but cheeky program of events and activities.
