Not just for nerds, the 2011 Ideas Festival is a conversation starter. Have a chat with a few hundred of your neighbours and be inspired by our guests as we dissect ideas old and new. As the 2011 Ideas Festival invites you to delve a little deeper into the themes of food futures, sustainability and happiness, things are bound to get a little bit deep and meaningful.

What a pity I only just this minute learned about the festival. I would have loved the opportunity to talk to Brisbane people about the idea and benefits of “involved” grass-roots giving, particularly for international social work. Our experience is through the inauguration and continued operation of Milonga Para Los Niños (Dance for the Children), a Brisbane based charity, now 10 years old, that provides direct assistance to children in poverty in Latin America through the medium of social dance, in our case Argentine Tango.
I love you idea for an ideas festival and will certainly attend some of the events.
best wishes for a successful festival.
Sounds fabulous, I too only learned about this and it is on in just a couple of hours, too late for me to cancel my meeting.
Please keep me informed about future events and post the outcome on your blog!!!
I did attend one session, but I too had heard little about it and had no idea it was such a ‘big’ festival. I thought the attendance at the session I went to was disappointing. At least we can watch the sessions on the website. Good idea for those who missed it.
