The Queensland Government invites all Queenslanders to take part in the Ideas Festival.
Our vision is of a Smart State where knowledge, creativity and innovation drive economic growth to improve prosperity and quality of life for all Queenslanders. I believe that an Ideas Festival that celebrates ideas and innovation, and promotes discussion and debate is essential in stimulating debate about ideas that we can bring to fruition as part of our vision for the Smart State.
It is an opportunity for Queenslanders to share ideas, celebrate the best of our many thinkers and innovators and interact with the best the world has to offer in the realm of ideas.
The Ideas Festival emphasises the sort of practical ideas that can be harnessed as part of our vision to improve life for Queenslanders.
The Ideas Festival is one of only two such events in Australia and is designed to attract broad audiences, strong national recognition and a lasting impact. The festival program will offer events, debates, sessions and activities for all ages and interests.
I encourage you to take part in what promises to be a stimulating six days of ideas, innovation and invention that will help shape the way we live and think in the Smart State.
